This is a really nice, fully-featured planet scene. It's not integrated as a plugin, it's mostly a scene that has been set up with the many preconfigured layers for controlling the atmospherics, cloud layer and surface features.
It's comparable to Geosim V1.3, another planet-maker that I use.
I need to find how to tune down the atospheric Rayleigh scattering, I think the default is a little too solid.

Planetarium - Blender Planet Generator

New Plugins!
I bought some more plugins, this lunch time.
Volumetric Clouds Generator
Oh clouds are lovely.
Straight out of the box. 32 samples.
Physical Starlight and Atmosphere adding some nice lighting/background. 433 samples.
Complex volume clouds take some rendering, I can tell you. While the results are easy and visually stunning, the process is very slow.
Next up: Planetarium.

Worldcreator 2022-3 calling Blender, are you receiving?
I watched Marin Klenker's excellent tutorial on importing world creator terrain into Blender. I was already using most of the workflow, but it contains some absolutely critical steps that I'd overlooked -- like using Splat maps to upscale textures in Blender. One of the problems with importing into Blender is that scenes tend to look a bit muddy and low resolution because the texture maps are too low-res.
Various quick projects. Next I need to double-down on the details, but for now I'm happy to play with the basics.

Inkwood
I bought a set of pen and ink style shaders. They're pretty cool!
Inkwood 2.0 (https://blendermarket.com/products/inkwood)
I don't actually know how to use them yet, but just applying them can produce some spiffing results.

I have touched the stars and seen the gods
I just learned something very important. Something I should have made it my business to learn may years ago. It changes everything!
Multiple UV maps per mesh!
Later I'll probably learn this is a hideously expensive workaround for bad UV management but today I feel like pre-crash-and-burn Icarus.

COVID Day 4
Tuesday, 3 May 2022
I got COVID
I tested positive a couple of days ago. My wife and eldest son had already gone through a week with it. The house extension kept me busy over the holidays, when I'd otherwise be Blendering some.

I've built, rejected and rebuilt the lifter a number of times. Quite a larger number of times, actually. I think I'm going to restart it soon, after a break.
